Last week the Conference Organizers and The Netherlands Water Partnership got together in Moscow to discuss organizational matters. Serious progress was made on the programme, a draft of the programme will soon be available on the site.
The Dutch delegates also visited the Crocus Expo, and they were impressed with the Exhibition and the Conference Hall.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has almost finalized the programme of the session they will hold within the framework of the International Conference "Water Resource Systems Management under Extreme Conditions". The WMO session is scheduled for June 5th. You can download the programme.

Over the last couple of months the Conference Secretariat has received more than 200 abstracts. Members of the Programme Committee are at this very moment reviewing the abstracts.
The outcome of the abstract review will be discussed by the Russian members of the Programme Committee and will result in the finalization of the Conference Programme.
If you have submitted abstracts and are planning to attend the conference personally, the Organising Committee strongly advises you to submit your registration form ASAP and to take care of your hotel booking as well as making arrangements for your visa.

Next month the Organising Committee will meet in Moscow to discuss organizational matters and a visit to be Crocus Expo will be scheduled.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) suggested the Draft Session proposal under the tentative title "Managing Floods for Sustainable Development and Climate Change Adaptation". The session will be held within the framework of the International Conference "Water Resource Systems Management under Extreme Conditions". The Draft Session proposal is available here.

On 25th of September in Delft (the Netherlands) was held a meeting of the Programme Committee of the International Conference "Water Resource Systems Management under Extreme Conditions". The participants of the meeting were the Conference organizers (SIBICO International, the Netherlands Water Partnership) and members of the Programme Committee. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the preparatory process of the Conference, themes and organisation of work of the Conference sessions, technical programme preparation. The organizers started to accept the application forms. The deadline for abstracts submission is 25th December 2007.

SIBICO signed a contract with The Federal Agency for Water Resources for holding the Conference "Water Resource Systems Management under Extreme Conditions".
